Johnny Depp proves 40 is the new sexy as the 46 year old star becomes People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive! Check out some of the other men to make the list, including Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Pattinson.

You see, it seems like there's a bit of a good ol' boys club over there at People magazine. Yes, Depp, Clooney, Pitt and Damon: We all know you are sexy, but you've all had your turn. Move over and make room for these other studs.  

It's November, which means it's officially time to think about the Oscars. People are already placing bets on the top performances even if they haven't seen them yet (think the soon-to-be-released and highly-anticipated 'Nine'). There are some actors who have been on the road to Oscardom ever since they began emoting; others found a way out of their earlier career mishaps and have reinvented themselves into serious actors.

He has old-school movie star charm that makes him float to the top every time. And he mixes his palette up with art films and crowd pleasers, getting away with it more than Nicole Kidman does because he doesn't act like he cares that much while she projects such burning earnestness . It has been confirmed that Nicole Richie has been hospitalised , and is being treated for pneumonia at a Los Angeles hospital and is said to be doing well. The 28-year-old actress missed the the launch of her 'House of Harlow jewellery' on the 10th of November, reporting on Twitter that she was suffering from a cold. Camilla Dallerup , who quit her stint in the jungle on I'm A Celebrity after just three days, has branded the programme 'The Kate Show', after the models arrival.

Get lost, Hugh Jackman. This year's Sexiest Man Alive is once again Johnny Depp. Depp nudged aside Jackman to get the coveted endorsement from People magazine Wednesday. It's the 46-year-old actor's second time as Sexiest Man Alive.

Ian Somerhalder is in two of TV's hottest shows -- but can't say much about either. Somerhalder plays bad boy vampire Damon on the CW's "Vampire Diaries" and returns from the dead to appear in ABC's final season of "Lost." Somerhalder says he shot the "Lost" season opener in Hawaii and will return "a couple times" while shooting "Vampire Diaries" in Atlanta. As for spoilers, Somerhalder will only say that the "Lost" script was so detailed, it "weighed about three pounds" and that he wears the same c  

In an upset for teenage girls, Depp nudged aside Twilight hottie Rob Pattinson for People magazine's coveted endorsement. The Sweeney Todd star is no stranger to the honor, grabbing the title in 2003. Other double winners: Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Richard Gere .
